Letter from the South County Renaissance Project
Welcome to our third season producing the Imperial Beach International Film Festival. This season marks a significant development for our Festival. A new agreement reached with Unified Port of San Diego will allow us to provide our outdoor screenings on Saturday September 10 at no charge. That means we want everyone down at the beach and under the stars for an evening of great cinema.
The mission of our parent organization The South County Renaissance Project (SCRP) remains the same: to provide funding for art and technology-based education for the youth of the South Bay. Our other goal is to ensure art remains as an option for learning and personal growth alongside other great regional traditions.
Just as in our two previous seasons we the staff at SCRP, continue to keep in our thoughts the serviceman and woman serving around the world. We keep them in our hearts as we celebrate the free exchange of ideas and the ability to learn through the art of film.
